The mission of the Maquoketa Middle School is to help our students to achieve success in learning and in life by provide opportunities during this transitional period that foster success, self-esteem, and personal integrity by building upon academic and social skills.
The Maquoketa Middle School was once home to an academy, a junior college, Maquoketa High School, and Maquoketa Junior High School. It now serves over 345 students in 6th, 7th and 8th grades. The students are served by a highly qualified staff of approximately 50 teachers and support staff.
